Bank Tests Biometric Card to Make Contactless Payments, More Secure
U.K. bank NatWest will start testing a payment card with a built-in fingerprint sensor soon. It will support contactless payments with the need for a PIN number, and also lift restrictions on the transaction amount. While this is the first U.K. test, the technology has been trialled elsewhere in the world, but never widely introduced.
